I am in love with all things systems! I love them so much. Not only do they allow me to be productive but they also allow me to rest assured that I will show up for myself, my husband, my children, my home, and for my business.
Just so you know what to expect across this series, each day builds on the day before so please start at Day 1 and work your way through to Day 5.
We need consistency in all areas of our life. When it comes to parenting, losing weight or getting healthy, and even building your business. All of this comes back to consistency. You need to ensure you have a plan in place so you can do your work in a rinse-and-repeat fashion. When you can complete tasks over and over again and get the same outcome you create the consistency you need to get results.
When your clients can count on you to show up, you really begin a shift in your company. Consistency is key for anything. I can give you 100 different examples of why consistency is important. Consistency also helps us to stay organized. Systems are what create the organization.
The Systemize Your Life Academy has an entire tier devoted solely to creating systems in your business so that you can become more consistent.
Inspiration versus systems
One thing you to stop doing in your business is running off your inspiration and inspiration only. This is the number 1 way you are going to be able to systemize your business and it’s this concept and notion of not running off inspiration. You have to put some plans in place or else you’re going to fail. You’re going to have burnout. You cannot sustain anything on inspiration alone.
There are bound to be days when you lack inspiration in your business because it is exhausting. It can not be fueled only by what makes your toes tingle. Your business needs to be built on a strong foundation and not just what you have been inspired by.
This step is 100% the most important for you to take to systemize your business. You need to be in a space every day where you know exactly what you are doing. This is how you grow to a place where you can hire people and create a team. To scale your business, you have to get rid of the feeling that YOU need to be in control of everything.
You need to grow a company. You’ve got to get this stuff out on paper. You have to have some plans in place. You have to!
“There is no consistency in your inspiration and there never will be. I know it’s hard to step back and realize this but take a day every week or take off for a week in order to systemize your business. “
A lot of the moms I work with often tell me they are feeling overwhelmed. They often ask how I know what I’m actually supposed to do and how much time I should allot to do it. Many have no idea of where to begin and are just doing what they think they should. It’s all based on what feels good in the moment.
When you close your eyes, where do you want your business to go? Does your business have standard operating procedures? Do you have plans in place so that every person knows their daily responsibilities? Does your business completely depend on your thoughts, your heart, your feelings, and your ideas on whatever day you are living?
Consistency is key
Based on most of the moms I talk to, everyone agrees, uh yeah, I need some plans in place. There need to be some systems in place that upholds this company and not just how you feel. There is no consistency in your inspiration and there never will be. I know it’s hard to step back and realize this but take a day every week or take off for a week in order to systemize your business.
You may have to wake up at 4:30 a.m. in order to fit the time in the day, but your dream is worth it. Running off of inspiration is not organized at all. I know that can be really, really scary. But you need to do this so that your business can flow in systems making your operation a lot easier for you. This can cut down on how much you are working and open your schedule for other important things.
No other person is more willing and more excited to be by your side in this other than me.
