Your home should feel like a sanctuary, not a source of stress. But when you’re constantly surrounded by clutter, it drains your energy and creates invisible barriers between you and your goals. Mia shared how clutter carries emotional weight—whether it’s guilt from unfinished projects, anxiety from disorganization, or overwhelm from too much stuff.

The Hidden Friction That’s Keeping You Stuck

Mia introduced a concept that really stuck with me—friction. It’s the small, often unnoticed obstacles in our environment that make it harder to take action on what truly matters. If you want to read more but your books are buried under piles of mail, you’re less likely to pick one up. If you want to work out but your yoga mat is shoved in a closet, getting started feels like a chore. A cluttered kitchen counter can make cooking a healthy meal feel exhausting before you even begin. When your environment creates resistance, you unconsciously avoid the things that bring you joy and well-being. The good news? Removing friction makes it easier to build habits and create the life you want.

Instead of a cluttered surface filled with random items, I invested in large nightstands with drawers, each intentionally designated for the activities I wanted to prioritize in my bedtime routine. One drawer holds my gratitude journal and a pen, another has my favorite book, and another is dedicated to essential oils and skincare.
